Advantages over regular drainage:
- Prevents aquaplaning and increases road safety through direct drainage of water contained in the ZOAB of the asphalt
- No piping under the bridge deck
- Discharges water before the end of the bridge
- Drainage over the waterproof layer
- No holes through the concrete structure
- Weight saving
- Environmentally friendly: 63,000 recycled plastic bottles were incorporated into this project.
